difference between Paypal Shopcart 1 & 2

A shopcart uses pictures to show products. With paypal shopcart 1 we can use old dmx fileupload that doesn't work with databindings.
The main difference between 1 & 2 is that 2 uses databindings but without any dmwzone fileupload facilities.
Regarding that, how do you justify a 49 euros upgrade price ?
Don't you thing it's time to provide ajax file upload working with databindings ?

The new version of the Sliding Paypal Shopping Cart has been fully rewritten in order to support the modern database tools.
An AJAX upload tool will be released really really soon after the Adobe MAX Conference - please check our blog.

Is there a chart or something that shows what is new in detail? I am just about to start a project that I will be using the extension. But I don't see anything different to justify the price?

Some questions before I purchase:

Does Paypal Shopping Cart 2 clear the cart after a successful purchase?
i.e. Does it override the cookie setting?

Can one set the shipping charges according to the quantity ordered?
I know one can setup shipping methods in the Paypal for Business tools, but it would be nice to have more control in the extension.

Ditto the above question (unanswered from 3 weeks ago). Does the v2 extension allow different shipping charges based on quantity ordered?

Hello,
No, unfortunately such an option is not available.
You can see all of the available options on the product page. If there is no such an option there, then it is not included in the extension.
