Hello,
I noticed a Server Connect update in Extension Manager recently and clicked the update button as I always do. Now the Server Connect panel is empty so I want to go back to the previous version but it's not available for download. Can you please send me version 1.7.0 which is running on my other Dreamweaver installation.

David,

I agree with you completely. I am also very disappointed about the manner how some companies try to force their customers to pay a monthly or yearly fee just in order to maintain the software that was once bought. 🤬 It all began after Adobe acquired Macromedia and InterAKT.

What version of DW are you using, and have you tried reinstalling server connect and installing it again?

It's CS6 (Windows), yes I know it's old but I bought a lot of DMXZone extensions just before AppConnect was born and wasn't prepared to buy them all again.

Back on topic, I have uninstalled and reinstalled Server Connect (no luck) and then uninstalled and re installed all extensions just in case. All extensions are currently up to date but no luck again.

I have a Mac also and the latest version (1.8.2) works on that with the same version of Dreamweaver. If it makes any difference I have both ASP and PHP versions of your extensions in case there are any dependents that might cause issues.

CS6 is no longer supported, as indeed it is an really old version.
I will email the 1.7.0 version to you, so you can install it in your CS6.

Maybe it's time to switch to Wappler

Yes that worked. Uninstalled 1.8.2 and installed 1.7.0 and the panel is back, thanks again.

I'd love to make the switch but all websites I build are with a custom CMS built with your extensions. Unfortunately I only build about 4-6 each year so I can't justify the monthly cost. I had hoped that you would price it differently (not via subscription). As it is I have to rent Adobe CC and rent Wappler together for a cost of £90 each month. I'm better off spending £600 on App Connect extensions and going with Adobe CC. Unfortunately I spent £600+ on Server Connect extensions just before it all changed.

I see, well unfortunately we decided to move away from the extensions pricing model (single purchases) to subscriptions only.

Could you also email me the 1.7 version? Thanks
FYI, using the zone's extension manager doesn't allow me to download and save extensions. Which is why we looking for those older extensions. It would be nice to have the option to download along with using the manager.

I also need the version 1.7 to update a legacy site.
I have purchased reCAptcha 2 not realizing it used Server Connect.
The last version of Server Connect I have is 1.0, which I installed, but I do not see it in the Window menu.
Would it be possible to get 1.7?

Guys, you should really consider updating DW to a recent version and stop using these outdated, ancient CS versions ...

Teodor, You need to understand that there are members who may have a few sites that still use older programming. I've been a member for almost 19 yrs and only maintain a few sites and they are all written in classic asp, a scripting language that Abode decided not to support in their current version. So that is why is one reason I wont update. Anyhow, there are still ISP's who support us. I'm what you may call "old school', when I purchase a product I don't want to continue paying a monthly, yearly fee to maintain it. Sorry it's the corporations' way of keeping their share holders (or owners) happy, and Adobe started it. I just wanted you to understand OUR situation and the need for your "older" programming. Thank you.
