I' am trying to get the DMXzone mailer to work but keep getting 500 (Internal Server Errors).
I use the smtp-settings from my mailbox. Is it possible i need special permissions to send mails from a page on the server?

Hello Dik,
Please check the following tutorial: www.dmxzone.com/go/32354/debugging-problems-in-dmxzone-server-connect/
And provide the detailed error message returned by your server.

Thanx, solved the problem... had to use the standard port (25) instead of the port i use for my mailboxes and also disable SSL.

Hello,
i had same kind of problem.
Teodor ask me to contact my hosting company support. So i did.
Solution for me was to use another smtp : smtpauthweb.galacsys.net instead of smtp.galacsys.net used for mailboxes. Port 587 and NO ssl
I hope this helps somone

Yes, that is right.

You should get the SMTP info from your hosting provider, and this is different for different companies and accounts

A similar question:
I usually use SMTP with login / password port 587 and StartTLS to avoid getting blacklisted on Amti-SPAM engines round the world.
I would like to use the SSL encryption but this ALWAYS throws an internal server error (500). Is there a way to use StartTLS at least? Unchecking the SSL checkbox makes it work but as mentioned I'd prefer some safety here, since the server supports it. (This I checked and tested extensively)
Any a solution on this would be really helpful
