I'm trying to send e-mail to a mailing list that contains over 1k subscribers without the email server locking the web server out due to too many connections in a quick amount of time. I would like to send x number of emails, then wait x number of minutes and then repeat untill email is sent to all users.

Can you show me how to do this, or point me in the right direction?

Thats exactly my problem too, only with a couple of thousands of mails.
The server asks for a 10 minutes break after sending 400 mail chunks.
Has anybody found a solution? Teodor mentioned, it is not possible.

I think it is a paramount feature we need in nowadays mail sending.

It would be a significant alternative to mailChimp and similar services.
