The output from this extension's predecessor (Universal Data Exporter) was terrible. I hope this extension can do better. Thank you.

The DMXzone Data Exporter exports data to CSV and XML.
PDF is not supported. XLS is not even needed as excel works perfectly with CSV files.

What I meant is Excel document for end user with nice column, customizable to certain width, bold, color etc.

For dbase management purpose I can simply export csv using phpmyadmin.

Thank you for rejecting my suggestion.

There is no option to format the exported files.
Not sure how is the phpmyadmin export related to this topic, but many users want to export query results, filtered users data etc. through their site CMS, the same way as they upload data to their site for example.

We are not planning to support PDF or XLS export.

Ok I noted your latest reply that you have no plan to make this new modern export tool to support PDF or XLS export. I asked this question because I need to decide whether I should upgrade the export extension. What I need is updated version of extension like Universal Data Exporter PHP that also supports PDF and Excel formats. Thank you for your clarification.

pdf export would be nice. Lets say, people look for an event calendar and would like to save it as a pdf. Not everybody has Excel for this purpose installed on any device

Hello Greta,
Unfortunately for now PDF export is not in our planning.
