I am loving the new Google Maps for appconnect. Good job guys on this one!

I see for dynamic markers there is a draggable field. How does that work? I have longitude and latitude data points on my map, and sometimes the marker is just a bit off. Will there be a way to drag the marker to the correct location, and then adjust the database to update the new longitude and latitude values?

Hello Baub,
Draggable markers allow users to drag the markers on the map. They do not send back data to the database. Could be useful for start/end location for the directions.

10 months late but....

Have been experimenting with trying to capture the draggable marker coordinates to a form field with mild success. The only trouble is the coordinates only update when the marker is dragged causing the map to render (ie off the visible edge of the map). This could really be a useful feature if there were a couple of further options...
  • Allow hidden fields to echo the draggable marker coordinates and update on drop.
  • Echo the address to hidden field.

We do similar outside of DMX Zone Extensions to allow our Users to drop a pin on their location to set an address and coordinates visually. Rather than entering the details via text. It's a lot more accurate and visually appealing over a standard text input.

Would this be possible in a small update....?
