Error message when trying to upgrade to the latest PHP Upload 2.x.x.

"File installation failed! Can not install SmartDataRelFolderTextField.js

Destionation is: file:///C|/Program Files/Macromedia/Dreamweaver 8/configuration/shared/DMXzone/Scripts/SmartDataRelFolderTextField.js

By the way, "Destionation" is the exact spelling that the error displayed. Hmmmm...

Also, how could the .js not exist?! I'm upgrading from a previous version?

Also, I had to completely remove PHP Upload and install the older version in order to get it working again.[:0]

Hi Heather,

I'm very sorry for the inconvenience. There was a last minute packaging error.

All fixed now, so please download again and install the latest version.

Note the version and filename is still the same, but it is updated.

Greetings,
George

Hi Heather,

We haven't changed that from the previous version. So it should be working fine.

What was your previous version of Pure PHP Upload?

Also what is the Extension Manager version that you have?

Greetings,
George

I made attempt #2 to upgrade and received this error now:

"While executing onClick, the following JavaScript error(s) occurred: At line 18 of file "C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Dreamweaver 8\Configuration\Commands\PurePHPUpload21_install.htm": Cannot find file C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Dreamweaver 8\Configuration\temp\PurePHPUpload21\PurePHPUpload21_install.mxi.

At line 18 of file "C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Dreamweaver 8\Configuration\Commands\PurePHPUpload21_install.html":getDocumentDOM: Argument number 1 is invalid."

PHP Upload is completely useless now that I cannot get it install. What now?

Previous version: 9.x.x
Extension Manager Version: 1.7.240

I'll be back in a couple of hours and hope to hear back from you! []

Just to let you know, I went and recreated a new DW Configuration folder (maybe suspecting a corruption somewhere), reinstalled the PHP Upload 2.1.9 (with registration and such; it was the first extension I uploaded/installed), with success. I then restarted DW and upgraded the extension, and I received the same error message. I uninstalled (not disabled) the extension, restarted DW, attempted to install PHP Upload 2.1.9 and received the same error message.

My suspicion is that there may be something wrong with the installation of the latest PHP Upload 2, since there was nothing wrong when I initially installed 2.1.9 first off. It wasn't until I attempted to install the latest that things went haywire.

I hope to hear a response soon because I do have clients who need this type of resourceful tool and it's really too bad that I can't use the updated one.[]
