Hello

Everytime I try to send e-mails with ASP Smartmailer, I get the following error:

********************
msxml3.dll Fehler "80072f0d'

The certificate authority is invalid or incorrect

C:\INETPUB\WWWROOT\LOCALUSER\VSBN\CMS\EMAIL\../../ScriptLibrary/incSmartMailer.asp, line 1225
********************

The installed version of ASP Smartmailer ist 1.80. I do have two servers. On the testing environment, I do have no problems with sending e-mails, just on my productive server (much more hardened, Windows 2003), everytime this MSXML3 error will popup.

Any ideas?

Thanks for you support.

Hi Nicolas,

Are you using SSL connection? If so check following article on Setting up Internet Security and Acceleration Server to host Web sites by using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol.

Hello Again,
Now I moved the webserver to a Windows 2008 plattform (IIS 7)and if I am using Smartmailer, I get the following error when I try to send e-mails:

msxml3.dll error "80072f06'
The host name in the certificate is invalid or does not match.
/cms/ScriptLibrary/incSmartMailer.asp, line 1229

If I connect internally to the page and send e-mails directly from the webserver, it works. If I am using the external link, it generates the error described above.

I am not using SSL ...

What's wrong?

Greets, -Nicolas
