Hi Dik,

How about the DMXzone tab on the Insert/Objects bar?

Kind regards, Patrick

Hi Patrick,

Advanced editor is not showing up in the DMXzone tab on the Insert/Objects bar.
I have had this problem before, it was never solved, used another editor (Irite) instead...
Can the problem be other DMXZone extensions installed?

Hi Dik,

I have all the extensions installed in CS4 and the Editor is visible and working. Which view are you using in DW4 (Desiner, Classic, other)?

Kind regards, Patrick

Hi Patrick,

I changed the views but that 's not the problem. This morning i uninstalled en re-installed (first The Image AddOn pack) and then HtmlEditor (latest versions). Stil nothing showing up. Is there a cach-file or preference-file i can delete?

Hi Dik,

Let us try this. First uninstall the two extensions and quit DW. Then clear DW cache. Reinstall the extensions and let me know what happens.

Kind regards, Patrick

Hi Patrick,

This does not solve the problem...
The installationprocess seems to be ok, but the only reference to Html-editor is the menu-option 'Update Advanced HTML Editor'.

Hi Dik,

Do you still have the Advanced HTML Editor (version 1)installed? Could you check in your extension manager?
Also could you go to the following location:

C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application Data\Adobe\DreamweaverVersion\en_US\Configuration\Objects

Next please open the file insertbar.xml at the location above in Dreaweaver. Scroll to the end and check if the following code has been inserted:

<button file="DMXzone\AdvHTMLEdit.htm" id="DMX_AdvHTMLEditFav" image="DMXzone\AdvHTMLEdit.png" name="Advanced HTML Editor" />

Kind regards, Patrick

Hi Patrick,

Problem solved...

In my workspace i had the 'top-menu' set as tabs. After changing it to a pulldown-menu html-editor showed up.
It is the only place where i can select the Html-editor option...

Thanks

Mat,

You are replying to an old post.

The editor is available in the Objects panel / DMXzone / Advanced HTML Editor.

So it is no longer on the forms tab but on the DMXzone tab as icon.

Greetings,
George
