Export CSV File Path can't be set in Server Connect

has this problem
01 Jun 2017 09:28:26 David Woolley posted:
Path setting for Export CSV File step in Server Connect can't be set when browsing in W10 file explorer. It closes file explorer immediately then discards any other changes made to the server action.

I've put the path in manually e.g. /CSVreports/export.csv and set to not overwrite the file.
The export path also has to be in the same folder as the page or a subfolder thereof.
It can't use a folder higher up in the hierarchy.

When I put a Select control dmxzone server action executor behavior on a button as described in the video, it exports the CSV file, but when I access the page or refresh, it also downloads the file on page loading. The action executor is set to autorun Never
So a few CSV files are exported with names: export_1.csv export_2.csv etc etc

Ignore the last paragraph above - I've sorted this out.
So still the problem with browsing to the folders.

Hello David,
Could you please try clearing your DW cache and reinstall server connect and data exporter extensions?
I cannot seem to recreate this issue on CC2017 and Win 10.

Hi Teodor

I cleared the DW cache from the configuration folder then removed SC & Data exporter extensions then reinstalled both. Same problem.
I must say that DW CC 2017 is giving me quite a few headaches - it slows down to a snail's pace after a while. I have a new i7 16Gb RAM laptop so it's really frustrating.

Are you sure the server connect panel is docked to some side of your DW window and opened?
This happens if the panel is not docked or not opened - then DW loses focus and closes the browse window ...

It's docked to the left next to the Tools panel.
I've just tried opening the action file from the executor panel, so the Server Connect Manager is floating - now it works! But if I go back to the docked SC panel, a path can't be selected.
So I'll live with this.

When it is docked it must be also opened, not just minimized - probably you ar eusing it minimized and open it using the icon? Just keep it expanded.

Yes I see now - it works fine when I expand it from the docked position using >>
Thanks a lot Teodor
