Only just started with the form validator, so far client-side validation seems to be working as expected but I need some server-side validation to be able to check a date field for duplicate records. i've implemented as per the video and trying to insert a record with a duplicate date does prevent the form being submitted but there's no error message showing up. Any ideas?

Also if I try to add a simple "required" rule to a field for server-side validation, I do get the error message as expected but unfortunately, even if the field is filled, it fails validation and won't submit. The same validation rule client-side works perfectly. Any ideas?

It is hard to tell what is wrong without seeing your page and how did you setup the validations in your server action steps. Please send screenshots and a link to the page to so we can check what is wrong.
