Upload works great over http but on https pages I receive a standard https security error and an "Internet Explorer has restricted this webpage from running active x". The upload still works if you agree to load move forward but I can't have people see those errors.

Any ideas how to resolve?

Are you using the Flash Control or the Advansed Multi uploader or you are using a simple upload file field?

Have you set up a Progress bar to appear when the upload is in progress?
