Make Google your google
As with all of its services, Google Fusion is currently in beta. Users with a Google account can customize the Google home page by filling it with news, weather, maps, movie reviews and showtimes, stock quotes and, of course, the contents of your Gmail inbox.
Eric E. Schmidt, Google's chief executive, said Fusion came about not for competitive reasons, but as a result of user demand. "It turns out that people really want a personalized Google," he said in an interview. "They want Google, but they want it to be their Google."
