Using Pure ASP Upload

Question:

I am new to Installing new Server Behaviors. How do you install the new PureASPUpload Extension in UltraDev? I would like to use UltraDev to upload the file and to insert other fields into the table but I cannot get the extension installed. Do I paste the whole upload.asp file in the space when it asks for a block of code? I need guidance.

Answer:

Every UltraDev extension is packed in a installation file with the extension MXP. You should just execute this file - it is opened and installed by the Extension Manager (also available in UD menu - Commands/Manage Extensions.

In the extension manager you will find a list of all installed extensions. Every extensions has a description and there it is also explained how you can access it.

For Pure ASP Upload - it goes in the Server Behaviors palette. There you can choose it - fill in the options dialog and all the code is inserted for you!

Using Pure ASP Upload with the Mac

I would very much like to purchase ASP UPload, but I have a Mac OS X (Panther), and am quite lost. I use the PWS and MS Access at work, where I have Windows. What to do with the Mac? I cannot install Access, and from what I see from the forums, there is no equivalent to PWS other than Apache-Chili Soft, which is very expensive for a private individual. When the (Windows) tutor for the ASP Upload talks of servers, it's talking about the IIS or the PWS. Can I still use ASP and get it to process via the server on my Mac? Is there a tutorial for this? Many thanks.
