Measuring open source quality

Coverity has applied the latest innovation in automated defect detection to uncover some of the most critical types of bugs found in software.

The goal is to stimulate the open source model are further accelerated with faster and easier remediation of defects in open source.

With one error per 3448 lines of code, Linux, Apache, mysql and Perl/PHP/Python contain less errors then avarage open source programmes where the software detected an error 2304 lines of code.
