Microsoft releases PDF- and XPS-plugins for Office 2007

Microsoft has released a  'save as PDF'-plugin for Office 2007. The function allows to save Microsoft Office-documents to Adobe's Portable Document Format.

Microsoft and Adobe spent months negotiating over the feature and in the end, as it was orriginally to be included as a standart feature of Office 2007. Under presure from Adobe, Microsoft chose to release the features as add-ons instead of including them in Office 2007 by default.
