Adobe announces Acrobat 8

Adobe has introduced Adobe® Acrobat® 8. The software focusus on improved communication and collaboration using Acrobat.

The Acrobat 8 product line introduces several major innovations in the areas of document collaboration, PDF content reuse, PDF forms, packaging of multiple documents, and controlling sensitive information. The software also has a new interface.

Adobe Reader 8 will be available soon for free download. Adobe Reader 8 includes new document viewing options, advanced collaboration, increased time-saving ways to work with Adobe PDF files, and other new features to help you more securely and consistently communicate and collaborate using Adobe PDF documents.

Acrobat 8 Professional for Microsoft® Windows® and Macintosh, and Acrobat 8 Standard for Windows, are expected to be available in November 2006 in English, French, German, and Japanese versions.
