Unpatched bug bites Apple Mac OS X
A serious, unpatched vulnerability in Mac OS X was discovered that will endager even fully patched Apple systems.
Secunia, the IT security consultancy, warns that AppleDiskImageController can be misused when dealing with corrupted DMG image structures, so as to cause memory corruption and execution of random code in kernel-mode.
The best thing Mac users can do right now is to deactivate the open "safe files" after downloading option in their Safari preferences as a workaround.
