With Photoshop CS3 enters final development stage, new details emerge

According to Think Secret, Adobe's CS3 is just months away from its release, stating that the software could be released as early as March or April. They also listed the most important new features for the software suite.

Among the improvements are:

• Native support for Intel-based Macs.
• A new interface
• Live Filters
• Layers can now be saved as smart objects
• Import and edit textures of 3D objects
• Improved Video support
• Substantial improvements to Photoshop's Save For Web functionality are expected but are currently unfinished; support for Flash animation is expected to be incorporated.
