64 bits...when?

Scott Byer has posted an interesting article on his blog on why Photoshop CS3 won't have a 64-bit version.

Among the reasons are problems with Memory bandwidth and incompatibility with 32-bit chips. The explanation is very interesting for non Adobe users too as it explains the disadvantages and problems of 64 bit applications.
