MS Vista will not play high-quality DVDs
Microsoft Vista is to be released at the end of the month. Yet, most PCs will probably not be able to play HD-DVD and Blu-ray Discs because of the anti-piracy protection granted to Hollywood studios.
Vista reqiures highest level of content protection, known as HDCP. If the PC does not have this protection, Vista will not run the disc. Virtually none of the PCs that use digital connection have HDCP.
