Mike Chambers answers the big question: Why Apollo?
Apollo is hot, especially since the release of the public alpha on labs last week. The big question for many users is what Appollo is for and why you should use it. Mike Chambers tries to answer this question on his blog.
Apollo is a new cross-platform desktop runtime being developed by Adobe that allows web developers to use web technologies to build and deploy Rich Internet Applications and web applications to the desktop.
But this did not answer the question why you should use Apollo, many users find themselves asking why would you want to move web applications outside of the browser.
Mike Chambers reffers to Apollo Pocket Guide for Flex Developers as it contains an answer to this question.
