Sneak Peek at Firefox 3 features
For all of you who are impatient Mozilla offered a short glimpse at Firefox 3 features to expect from its release later this year. Alex Faaborg who’s one of the interface designers for Firefox 3 posted an overview and some screenshots of what the changes might look like.

Amongst the features are:
-
Places, a new new bookmarks and tagging system for organizing saved sites.
-
Content Handling that supplies a user with a consistent UI for selecting actions, associated with content, regardless of the content source.
-
Microformat Detection for interaction with microformatted content in the context of the Web page. Microformats are a type of semantic HTML that takes data from being machine readable to being machine understandable, allowing Web browsers to associate the data with particular actions.
-
Private Browsing puts Firefox into a temporary state where no information about the user’s browsing session is stored locally.
-
Malware Protection blocks Web sites that want to install malicious programs on your computer.
