The battle of the search engines - Yahoo's struggle
Yahoo's search engine co-founder Jerry Yang is taking over from Terry Semel the reins - but the big question is: can he revitalize the struggling internet giant?
Terry Semel, the co-chief executive of old-media giant Warner turned Yahoo into a media and content company fit for the internet age. But critics say Yahoo failed to focus on its core business: helping web users to find information.

While Mr Semel accumulated content, Yahoo's website got ever more cluttered and difficult to navigate, and the quality of its search engine fell well behind that of archrival Google. Most importantly though, Yahoo failed to match the success of Google's biggest money spinner - paid search advertising.
Will Jerry Yang be able to turn the battle of the search giants in favor of Yahoo? We're looking forward to see the results of the management change.
