Apple releases two dozen patches for Mac OS X, plus the first iPhone update
Apple released Security Update 2007-007. The update is recommended for all users of Mac OS X v10.3.9, Mac OS X Server v10.3.9, Mac OS X v10.4.9
and Mac OS X Server v10.4.9.

Apple Security Update 2007-007 covers dozens of vulnerabilities and bugs.
Some of the vulnerabilities seem quite serious, leading to arbitrary code execution, downed applications or both. This update is available from within Mac OS X via the Software Update pane in System Preferences, or from Apple's Software Download.
Apple also issued the first software update for the iPhone. Unlike the Mac updates, the iPhone update will be delivered through
iTunes the next time you sync your iPhone with your Mac or PC. It
corrects a few flaws in Safari as well as in Webcore and Webkit.
