Leopard vs. Vista: feature chart showdown
Engadget created a neatly-structured chart to compare the both richest consumer operating systems, Vista and Leopard. The chart is only for out of box features, and does not take into account 3rd party software.
Under evaluation are:
- User Interface
- Software
- Media
- System tools
- Networking and connectivity
- Security
- Gaming
- Performance and hardware
- Business
The different facets are examined in five different categories:
- a category with more and/or better features, and generally a better user experience
- a category not better than the alternative or it doesn't yet exist in the OS
- a category too subjective or not similar enough to judge
- a category that is in many ways subjective; depends on your own tastes
- notes help out with a little background, where appropriate
There is also a Comments / notes section applied to the chart for clarifying.
