Google Magazine?
TechCrunch notified about a speculation arising lately in the Web that Google is likely to start releasing Google Magazine. This speculation bases on an interesting patent granted to Google on November 8. The patent is titled “Customization of Content and Advertisements in Publications.”

TechCrunch discusses a part of the content of the patent, where the flaws in existing print magazines are pointed out. According to Google since consumers have no control over publication content or advertisements, they may purchase a publication that contains at least some content and advertisements that may be of no interest to them.
Google offer to give users the ability to search and browse their own content, and receive an electronic or hard copy version of the final product. Thus, according to Google, the final product will include advertisements highly relevant to the user.
TechCrunch also consider Google`s suggestion that customer interface documents may be provided via a kiosk another possibility Google to plan using kiosks to create and print these documents. Google say that kiosks containing the customer interface documents may be provided in stores (e.g., Target, supermarkets, retail stores, etc.) in a similar way as picture kiosks are currently provided in such stores.
In the end of the article there is another question set out about how effective this patent would be if established magazines tried to allow users to customize content in a similar way. TechCrunch say that Google could step in and claim infringement this very moment. Google would like to license the patent and supply all the advertisements conclude TechCrunch.
