Gizmodo published a video of a segment of a CES 2008 interview where Bill Gates talks about the difference between Apple's approach and Microsoft's approach when it comes to product releases.

 

According to Bill Apple keeps releasing products that might be unsure in their first iteration—portable music rentals; DVR—while Microsoft rolls out stuff that may not be quite ready.
