The Next Release of jQuery is Coming Soon
jQuery 1.2.3 should be released within the next couple days (after some more testing) and jQuery UI 1.5rc1 will be announced on the jQuery UI mailing list at about that time.
Paul Bakaus, who was recently hired by Liferay Inc., the company behind the world’s most popular open source java portal, to focus solely on bringing jQuery UI to a next level now works on jQuery UI full-time. Liferay is putting a ton of resources towards making sure that the future of the library will be successful.
