Ext for Air and Vista
Jack Slocum, the creator of ExtJS, posted а Forum Gadget for Vista and Ext JS 2.0 API documentation application for AIR, pretty soon after the release of GWT-Ext 2.0.
Ext is a cross-browser JavaScript library for web pages. You can use it to achieve Web 2.0 effects without writing too much JavaScript code.

First, Jack wrapped the Ext 2.0 docs in Air, which would have been helpful showing you how to take an existing Ext JS application and convert it to Adobe AIR. In his opinion it should be pretty easy if you aren’t using any AIR specific features. You can download the application from here.
Second, he created a forum watcher for Vista. This gadget gives you the ability to monitor the Ext JS forums (all posts or by individual forum), perform fast searches and supports both docked and undocked mode.
The gadget file itself is just a zip file. To see the source, just save it to a file on your system, rename it to forum.zip and unzip it. There isn’t much code required, all of it is in forum.js. Download code from here.
More information about Ext JS can be found at extjs.com, and additional info about Vista gadgets and the Window Sidebar can be found on MSDN including a Windows Sidebar Object Reference.
