Microsoft unveiled the newest version of (IE) Internet Explorer Mobile, accompanying the launch of new Windows Mobile 6.1.

“The innovations we’ve added to our Windows Mobile software ultimately make it easier to manage your world,” said Robbie Bach, president of the Entertainment and Devices Division, Microsoft.

According to the company, the updated Internet Explorer Mobile browser will be able to support Adobe Flash, H.264 streaming and Microsoft’s Silverlight. It will easily view full-screen Web pages and multimedia on the Web with a smartphone, aiming to let users to enjoy the quality of desktop Web browsing.

“Internet Explorer Mobile and Windows Mobile 6.1 demonstrate Microsoft’s ability to harness its technologies to bring tangible innovations and benefits to customers and partners,” said Ben Bajarin, analyst with Creative Strategies.

The Internet Explorer Mobile update is expected to be available to mobile phone makers by third quarter of 2008, with the first Windows Mobile phones using the new version of the browser will be available by the end of 2008.
