Rich Internet Applications and E-Learning

RIA News: This week Macromedia announced a non-commercial licence option for Flex. Although not for commercial or institutional use it is aimed at educators, students and bloggers wishing to Flex their artistic muscles.

This announcement came around this same time as Laszlo systems open sourced their rich client platform that enables delivery of Flash to the desktop.

Coming Soon for E-Learning Developers: An updated version of RoboDemo. Now called Captivate, Macromedia's Flash based on-screen demo software is due to hit the streets (Windows versions only) later this month.
