MySQL beta of enterprise open source database soon to be released?

According to InfoWorld MySQL is expected to to release a beta version of its MySQL 5.0 open source database, which  features enterprise-level functionality such as stored procedures and triggers.

As part of stored procedures capabilities, Version 5.0 also adds server-side cursor support to boost scaling by moving more program execution to the server.

Noel Yuhanna, senior industry analyst at Forrester Research who recently published a report on open source databases described version 5.0 as critical for MySQL.
