Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger goes Gold

According to sources, Apple declared build 8A428 of Tiger 'gold master,' the final development stage. Earlier, Apple release a "FC" (final candidate) build to developers and other partners.

The OS is expected to hit retail stores in the second half of April. Apple is also holding its Worldwide Developer Conference 2005 in San Francisco in June, where it will focus on the new features and development tools available with Mac OS X Tiger.
