Rich Internet Applications and E-Learning

RIA News: This week Macromedia announced a non-commercial licence option for Flex. Although not for commercial or institutional use it is aimed at educators, students and bloggers wishing to Flex their artistic muscles. 

This announcement came around this same time as Laszlo systems open sourced their rich client platform that enables delivery of Flash to the desktop.

Following on from last months announcement of the low price Web Publishing System for developing of enterprise level rich internet applications (RIA), Macromedia have now announced a pay-as-you-go plan for Breeze Live web conferencing. Breeze makes use of Microsoft PowerPoint and Macromedia Flash Player to facilitate online meetings.
