Adobe Leads High-Quality Raw Video Format Initiative
Adobe is leading a joint initiative to develop a specification that will eventually lead to a file format for higher image quality.
The company states that users can do better with the quality of digital video images. It is also developing a way to search on the audio within video clips.

Bangalore, India in his own blog, the company is shooting to unleash
Beta 2 of Silverlight 2 in May.

Adobe Media Player 1.0 Released with Adobe TV
Adobe launched the first public version of its Media Player (AMP) software, a desktop Flash video manager that organizes streaming and downloadable video content. AMP runs on Adobe's cross browser Adobe Integrate Runtime (AIR), and can display high res videos in 1080p, 720p or 480i.
"It's a merger of TV Guide and DVR for Internet video content," said
John Loiacono, senior vice president of Creative Solutions at Adobe, in
a press release.
