How to create a validated date entry field

I appreciate that SQL has its own methods of date storage.  What I want to do is to ensure that my users can easily enter the correct date first go, rather than receiving a returned error message if they dont.   When I use Dreamweaver to create a date entry field it just gives me a single unformatted field and the user has to enter the slashes as well as the numbers.  What I want to achieve is either   1 Have the field preformatted  eg ../../....   with the user able just to type in the numbers only  OR alternatively I guess I could use three fields of 2,2 and 4 characters and somehow join them before submitting the date to the server.  (Not sure how to join them )

Any help gratefully received.

help me with table

i want to know how to build a table that fix to one size cause i build a table and i use recordset to read my data fom database it will be out like this:-

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx--<<text

and it will resize my table and i want to do in this format

xxxxxxxxxxx

xxxxxxxxxxx

xxxxxxxxxxx

so that user can print the data..for your information i input the data using text field and i don't wanna use text field to read the data cause when printing textfield have a limited space. i just wanna my data to be out like this website

Help me with insert record
