Opera is bringing its popular mobile browser to the Android operating system. A beta release of version 10.1 has arrived in the Android Market with Opera's signature mobile user interface and advanced features like bookmark synchronization.
According to a New York Times Bits blog report, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer and Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen met recently to discuss joint strategies to defeat Apple’s iOS platform. The story said a merger of the two companies was discussed.

Reports are abounding across the news channels and the blogosphere that Microsoft is shifting its emphasis away from its own Silverlight rich client environment in favor of HTML5.
