On Thursday executives from Nokia, the world's largest maker of cell phones, and Opera Software, the maker of a leading mobile browser, said they'd support the new Flash 10.1 software that is coming out. Opera's co-founder Jon von Tetzchner was quoted as saying "It is the only proprietary part of the Web we support."

Bing Search for iPhone Deal in Place
On Friday, TechCrunch reported that several sources, in particular those close to Google, said that Microsoft has a deal in place for Bing to be the new default search option on the iPhone. The blog is hesitant to say the deal is confirmed, however. This follows a January report in BusinessWeek that said Apple and Microsoft were at least talking about making this deal.

Adobe has been coming under increasing fire for the regular security flaws found in products such as Adobe Reader and Flash. As of Tuesday morning, the 8GB iPhone 3G is no longer for sale on Apple's Web site. Apple has been offering a steep discount on the 3G(not the 3GS) since last year and now it appears customers no longer have the option to buy it online at all. Apple hasn't responded to a request for comment about it.

Adobe's PDF Reader App for Android Phones
Adobe released a native PDF reading app for Android phones. The software, which went up in the Android Marketplace Friday, lets users quickly open up PDFs they download from a browser, or that they've received in e-mail attachments. It packs multitouch gestures for zooming, landscape orientation, and a tool that will resize the text on wide documents to fit your phone's narrow screen.
