Hi,I installed Advance Layer Popup in Dreamweaver CS3 and it worked fine. However, I had problems with another software application a few days after first installing ALP and had to use the Vista restore feature. Now I cannot use ALP, despite removing and re-installing.
When starting Dreamweaver, I get the following message:
"while executing onload in AdvanceLayerPopup10_onStartUp.htm, the following javascript error occured"
"in file ""AdvanceLayerPopup10_on startup"": reference error on startup is not defined"
ALP shows as a behavour but does not load. I get the following message:
"unable to open script file c:/program files (x86) /adobe/dreamweaver CS3/configuration/behaviours/actions/DMXZone/advance layer popup.js (error3)"
Have tried to find the files, but the DMXZone folder is not visible in the location shown in the error message.
Any help would be appreciated.
Many thanks
Phil

Thanks

Hi,
Please can you tell me what file names are and location of them when the extension is insalled. Then I should be able to figure it out myself. I`m using vista and files relating to the program seem to be all over the place. Some appear to be duplicates or different versions of the file.
Thanks
Phil

Hi Phillip,
In general that error applies when the path to a script file is incorrect. You can check for those files in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver 9\Configuration\etc. But I guess they will be present. Your option is to try downloading the mxp file of the extension again making a fresh install of it.

Hi, I am stll struggling to get this to work. Each time I run Dreamweaver CS3 as administrator it is asking me to register the product, so I have to enter the serial number and login. Even then it does not work. If I switch user and and run Dreamweaver (not as administrator) from the other profile, I still have to register but it does work. i cannot believe that registering every time Dreamweaver loads is normal.
Please can you help?
Thanks

Hello Phillip,
Installing the extension under Administrator profile leads to copying of the extension files in wrong place.
Here is the FAQ on how to fix that:
www.dmxzone.com/go?11711
/NOTE: Vista and Windows 7 have same folder structure/
