Hi! I'm an engineer and have been working for 5 years. Now I've decided to look for a new job and realized that I need to update my resume. But how to format it correctly? What should I write in the "work experience" section and what in the "skills" section? I'm afraid that I'll miss something and the employer won't like my resume. I'll be glad to receive any advice!

Hi! I recently created my resume and I know how difficult it is. In the "work experience" section, be sure to write what tasks you performed and what you achieved. Employers like to see specific results. In "skills", list important skills: programs, equipment, and even communication skills if you worked in a team. I recommend trying engineering resume builder. This is a convenient resume creation tool developed by professional engineers and career consultants. The platform helps you create a cool resume that will definitely be noticed.

I completely agree! I also recently created a resume. The main thing is to write simply and clearly. Don't overload the text with complex words and tell about your achievements in detail. For example, write what projects you led, what tasks you solved and what technologies you used.

Use information such as:
Header: Name, contact details
Summary: Concise career overview
Skills: Technical expertise
Experience: Achievements-oriented
Education: Degrees, certifications
Additional: Licenses, projects.

I'm trying to apply for Personal Support Worker jobs, but I'm struggling to write a good resume. Are there any examples or templates that can help me understand what employers want to see? How do I make sure my resume stands out?

I totally get how confusing that can be! When I helped my friend with her PSW job hunt, we found that looking at real psw resume samples on jobssite.ca/crafting-an-impressive-personal-support-worker-resume/ made a huge difference. There’s this great resource that breaks down exactly how to highlight your experience, skills, and even how to write a solid summary. It made the whole process feel way less stressful, and honestly, it helped her land interviews faster. If you want your resume to stand out without sounding too formal or dull, definitely check it out — it’s practical and easy to follow!
