Hey everyone,

I've recently come across lavender hydrosol and I'm curious about how others use it in their daily routines. I know it's a byproduct of the essential oil distillation process, but beyond that, I'm not sure what makes it so popular.

How does it compare to lavender essential oil in terms of effectiveness and safety, especially for sensitive skin? Can it be used directly as a facial toner, or should it be diluted? I'd love to hear your experiences, favorite uses, or any DIY recipes involving lavender hydrosol.

Thanks in advance!

Lavender hydrosol is much gentler than lavender essential oil, making it ideal for sensitive skin. It’s water-based and can be used directly on the skin without dilution, unlike essential oils which often require a carrier oil. I use it as a facial toner—it’s soothing, helps with redness, and smells amazing. Hydrosol, Lavender is also great for calming minor skin irritations, and sunburns, or even as a linen or room spray.

DIY-wise, I’ve mixed it into clay masks or added it to my homemade aloe vera gel aftershave. Super versatile and much safer for daily use than essential oil
