I've been using the leg press machine regularly, but I’m not sure if I’m activating my glutes effectively. I read that foot placement can make a huge difference. Some say placing your feet higher on the platform helps isolate the glutes more, has anyone tried this? Do you lock your knees or keep a slight bend? Replies

To really target your glutes on the leg press, place your feet higher and shoulder-width apart on the platform. Focus on pushing through your heels and avoid locking your knees at the top. I struggled with this too until I looked up detailed guides on how to leg press for glutes, this helped a lot. For a full breakdown with form tips and common mistakes, I’d highly recommend checking out the guide at Rio Linda Fitness. It made a big difference for me.
