I’m finishing up a custom project for my camper van where I’m using a linear actuator to lift a hidden storage panel. I’ve got everything wired and working, but now I’m stuck figuring out how to securely mount the actuator itself. I’ve seen a few bracket options online, including from Progressive Automations, but I’m not sure which ones are sturdy enough for bumpy travel. Anyone have experience using their mounting brackets for mobile setups? Replies

I had a similar situation when I built a lift-up bed platform in my trailer. I used a couple of their mounting brackets, and they’ve held up great even on rough roads. What I liked is they’re designed to fit specific actuator models, so there’s no weird alignment or drilling. This linear actuator mounting bracket https://www.progressiveautomations.com/collections/mounting-brackets helped me choose the right brackets without guessing . Just double-check your actuator model to match it properly with the bracket type.

One thing I’ve learned from building mechanical setups—whether it’s for home use or mobile—is that hardware like brackets and joints can make or break the whole system. The actuator can work perfectly, but if your mounting is off by just a little, it’ll start pulling uneven or get noisy real fast. Always worth spending extra time getting that part right.
