Hey y’all, hope your lines are tight! I’m heading down the coast next weekend and hoping to get into some solid inshore or nearshore action. Any tips for a good starting point or gear setup? Curious what’s working for others this time of year.

Nice! Coastal fishing can be super rewarding this time of year, especially around jetty structures and deeper cuts. I’ve been catching redfish and specks using soft plastics early morning, then switching to live shrimp mid-day. If you're planning to fish out of the Freeport area, Surfside Marina is a state-of-the-art dry stack and wet slip boat storage marina and service center in Surfside Beach, Texas. It’s close to the action and has a 24-hour fuel dock and bait shop, so you’re set no matter what time you head out. Having everything in one spot really simplifies coastal fishing trips.
