Hi am I missing the point somewhere?

I can get a simple lightbox to work from an image. I have created a small icon (image file) in a div on my page and linked to a main photo and added the lightbox - it all opens fine and shows the main image perfectly in the lightbox window. So far so good.

Now from my next icon on the page I need to have this work so that when the lightbox opens it shows a series of images in the viewer - trouble is whatever I try fails to work as I need it. I have added my second icon image into a small div on my page and then clicked to add a lightbox gallery linked from this icon image rather than just a simple lightbox link. Once the DMXgallery panel opens I then select my folder of photos for the gallery but it seems that I have agree to generate a thumbnail for each image which then creates havoc on my page with small images everywhere and my original icon image has disappeared. I simply want to be able to click on the icon at the size it is to launch the lightbox and then view a series of images. I have read the tutorials but just cannot seem to get this right. Thank you for any help.

Shame no response - we are not all hardened coders - otherwise this support forum would not be required?

I have sorted this out now (I am a relative newbie to web work, coming from a print background): I made the thumbnails all tiny - just 15 pixels square and tucked them away in a small div at the foot of the page. For the single clickable image I simply placed the appropriate tiny thumbnail in a new div in the correct place and the updated this image to a larger one with the same name - hey-presto a single large linked image and a functioning gallery.

Hope I have gone about this the correct way - it all seems to work:

All feedback appreciated.

Also 'our work' page uses the lightbox - very happy with this extensions editability - thank you.

Hello Richard,

Yes... your approach is correct.

however making the div with the rest of the thumbs invisible with css will be more appropriate using a CSS property visible:hidden;
But that is the approach.
