Lightbox trouble in DW CC

I have DW CC with Lightbox 1.0.13 zxp installed. I have a site which was built in DW 5.5 with Lightbox and I am trying to edit it now in CC. When I open the page with the light box in it (the page has template mark up) I get a dialogue saying ....

"this page contains elements, prepared for the DMXzone Lightbox Extension. This requires some additional files to be inserted/edited in your document. Do you want DW to insert/edit now?"

I click ok and another dialogue box opens saying

"Making this change would require changing code that is locked by a template or a translator. The change will be discarded."

If I remove the template mark up then open the page DW then allows the new files to be installed - I then replace the template mark up and can them open the page anytime to edit.

My question - Is there an easier way or something else I am missing here - I have many, many pages to edit and doing the template thing will be very time consuming?

Have tried it in CS6 desktop with the same issues

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello Bruce,

All your pages use one and same files, so once those are updated you do not need to do that for each and every page, so ignore the Message.

Regards.

Hi Miroslav,

I wish that were the case and thought that as well but it is not working out that way. Each page when opened displays the same problem

Theodor,

I have sent you the files in as attachments as you requested me to do, in fact I sent them a second time when you did not reply to the first.
I have had no reply from you.
I still have this issue and would like some help please.

Unfortunately we are unable to recreate the issue. The error message you mention does not appear in CC or CS6. Please make sure you have the latest version of DMXzone Lightbox installed, and applied to your page.

How exactly did you try to replicate it?

Did you get my files?

Irrespective I still have the problem and I am not impressed. What suggestions other than stripping each page of its template mark up, opening the page allowing your extension to do what it needs to do then putting back the template mark up - a big job when you consider we are talking over 200 pages.

Of course we received your files.
Opening the main.dwt or the child page created from it does not generate any errors/messages.

Please install the following free extension: www.dmxzone.com/go/21895/dmxzone-shared-components In order to be sure you have the latest head updater shared component installed. Please also install the latest lightbox version.

Thank you Teodor,

I have the latest light box installed and will follow the link you gave me and install that extension and get back to you.

I still have the problem after installing the extension file you sent i.e. the shared components and confirming my lightbox version is 1.0.14.zxp

Can you please fix this for me.

I dont have long to wait so I will have to start the long process of stripping the template mark up on each page - then allowing Lightbox to install on each page what it needs then re set up the template mark up - I have extensions to create good effects and more importantly to save time - now I have an extra weeks work and I wont get paid for it
