I used the new extension manager to install this newest version, but after installing, I saw a quick message that "DreamWeaver 12" is required. In DreamWeaver, sliding panels as well as other updated extensions no longer showed up!I had to uninstall the updated versions and reinstall the previous versions that I had downloaded. Then it all worked.
The requirements say that older versions of DreamWeaver back 8, CS3, and CS4 are supported. With the CS5.5 version I have, why would the updates not be supported?
Also... I'm curious... Is Windows 8 supported?
Requirements:
Product: Dreamweaver 8, Dreamweaver CS3, Dreamweaver CS4, Dreamweaver CS5/CS5.5 and CS6, Dreamweaver CC
Platform: Win XP/2000/2003/2008/7, Mac OS X

Hello David,
You have donwloaded the ZXP version of the extension which is for DW CC only. You need the MXP version for CS5.
We highly recommend to donwload and install our brand new DMXzone Extension Manager - www.dmxzone.com/go/22670/dmxzone-extension-manager-for-dreamweaver You won't have any problems of this kind using it. No serial numers username/passsword required on installation. Installing extensions there takes about 1 second... not like in the heavy, bloated, slow Adobe Extension Manager.

The file " DMXzone-Extension-Manager-Win.exe" is what I installed. When I started the program it showed "Dreamweaver CS5.5" at the top. Is there some other setting that needs to be changed?
I would rather use your Extension Manager, but if it will not install the correct versions, should I just download the updated extensions? (There are 9 of them now that I need to update!)
Thanks,
David

Hello David,
When you open the DMXzone Extension Manager at the top you can select your Dreamweaver version. When you select it you can see the updates available and click Update ALL: postimg.org/image/nk9qxavxl/

That's what I did. The only selection from the top was DreamWeaver CS5.5. I selected update all... It worked nicely...except for those error messages telling me that Version 12 is required. (My DW5.5 is version 11.5 build 5315)
What am I doing wrong?

Hello David,
Thanks for the feedback and detailed email. We've checked the issue - the solution is to download and install the MXP versions of the extensions (by dragging and dropping them or by clicking the install button) into DMXzone Extension Manager. There is a small update coming next week, that will fix this issue and you will be able to update the extensions from within the app.
