Is there a way to stream images, or must they be pre-loaded?

Can you please explain what exactly do you need to achieve?

I need to display a show wth a lot of images, but don't want all the images to load when the page loads. For example, I have 50 images, each at 100k-200k. Right now it takes several seconds before the show loads because all the images are downloading first. The larger the show, the longer the delay.

People with a slower connection or smart phone have to wait over a minute for the show to start - unless I keep it to only a few slides.

any suggestions?
