On all divs I insert I get a dashed border which I cant remove via css. When I attempt to do this I get a dialogue message - "Making this change would require changing code that is locked by a template or a translator. The change will be discarded."

So I dont see or get how to do this - the css generated with this is huge and very confusing from an editing point of view - unless I am missing something and I am sure its me

Some pointers on this issue would be helpful

Hello,

Please provide a link to a page that you created and has those "dashed borders".

Here is the strange thing - I have coppied the files to my test site, then uploaded and the dotted/dashed lines are not there live or when tested in a browser from DW but when I work on this in my original defined site I have the dots/dashes

Here is the upload link www.rauzzy.com/boot_test/home.html but it all looks fine there - I am a bit confused by this - sorry.

Hello,

By dashed borders are you referring to the CSS Visual Aids in Dreamweaver Design view?

The dashed borders do look like visual aids. By toggling that off or on makes no difference. They appear when you view in browser or live view. They were not there in the first test I did with this extension but have appeared in every page I have created since. I have removed and reinstalled and deleted the macdatacashe file with no change.

Any thoughts I would love to get rid of these and start using this extension properly it has great potential for me

When you select the lines and look in the CSS panel you can see that one set comes from the rule

.row-fluid .dwd-span.dwd-span.dwd-first-child
And the other rule is
.container, .container-fluid
By trying to change these you get the dialogue I mentioned in the original question above. Hope this helps

Oh, it seems you are not working into a site definition but just opened a file.
Please make sure that the page you are saving is being placed in an existing DW site definition, so you are not saving it just somewhere on your computer. Then when previewing it in the browser open it through the tesiting server, not just double clicking the html file.
